NEW MEMBERS class starting – at Unity in the Woods..<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s some suggestions for what we can do:<\/p>\n
Day 1 –\u00a0 Have everyone do an exercise on the major events of their spiritual journey. (Toni can lead this) \u2013Sharing – If the group is too large (hopefully), we can put them in smaller \u00a0groups.<\/p>\n
Begin a brief explanation of New Thought history \u2013 Toni (Allan and Dorothy Ann as well)<\/p>\n
Followed by brief film on Unity<\/p>\n
Day 2 \u2013 Dorothy Ann to lead a presentation and discussion on basic Unity Principles<\/p>\n
Day 3 \u2013 Allan \u2013 talk about the history of Unity Church in the Woods and begin to explore a new vision for the future.\u00a0 What does it mean to be a MEMBER?<\/p>\n
Have participants look at ways they can get involved in their own growth as well as the growth of the Church \u2013 eg. Outreach programs; small groups, etc.<\/p>\n
Talk about financial commitment as well<\/p>\n
In Church on Sunday \u2013 have a NEW MEMBERS Celebration \u2013 give out certificates<\/p>\n
During the weeks that follow, Dorothy Ann will hold a class on putting the Principles into Practice.<\/p>\n
We also thought it might be a good idea to change the theme for January to<\/p>\n
Universal Spiritual Principles \u2013 so we can be sure to cover the \u2018basics\u2019<\/p>\n
